Carrying, use and warnings
Your rental is a pressurised irritant canister, not ordinary travel gear. Review the handling videos and supplied instructions without test-firing the canister.
Rental rule: Do not test-spray the canister. An activated or unsealed unit is not eligible for a deposit refund. Use the videos and supplied manual to familiarise yourself with the mechanism.

Carrying and storage
- Place the canister in the supplied holster where either hand can reach it quickly.
- Never expose the canister to temperatures above 40°C, direct sun, or a hot vehicle.
Emergency use
- Remove the canister from the holster and hold it firmly upright.
- Lift the flip cap with your thumb.
- Account for wind and keep people out of the spray path.
- Aim as instructed in the demonstration and press to discharge; release to stop.
- Move away when it is safe. Bear spray is a last-resort deterrent and does not guarantee protection.
Warnings and cautions
- Keep out of reach of anyone under 20. This is not a toy.
- Do not use maliciously, spray people except in a legitimate emergency, disassemble, modify, resell, or transfer the rental unit.
- Keep the safety lock engaged when not in use.
- Do not incinerate, even when empty. Do not store where it can fall or be crushed.
- Bear spray is prohibited in aircraft carry-on and checked baggage.
Accidental exposure
- Move to fresh air. Remove contaminated clothing, glasses, and contact lenses.
- Rinse exposed skin and eyes with plenty of clean, cool water. Do not rub.
- Do not apply creams or ointments unless directed by a medical professional.
- Ventilate indoor areas and clean affected surfaces with soap and water.
- Seek urgent medical help for breathing difficulty, severe symptoms, eye injury, or symptoms that do not improve.
