CONDITIONS.

Article 1: Application of Agreement

1. Japan Bear Spray Rental provides a service through which it rents bear spray (the “Bear Spray”) to the renter. The renter shall rent the Bear Spray in accordance with this Agreement. Matters not addressed here are governed by applicable laws, regulations, and common practice.
2. Japan Bear Spray Rental may make special provisions that do not violate this Agreement, applicable laws, administrative guidance, or common practice. A stated special provision takes precedence over this Agreement.

Article 2: Rental

1. On receipt

1. Report defects or missing parts before use.
2. Read and understand the supplied manual and take appropriate safety precautions.
3. We recommend appropriate insurance for injuries that may occur during use.

2. During use

1. Use the Bear Spray with the utmost care to prevent personal injury or property damage.
2. Do not allow another person to use it, and do not modify or decorate it.
3. Use and store the Bear Spray responsibly and in accordance with the label and manual.

3. Return

1. Return all supplied items by the scheduled date and time.
2. Contact us before the deadline if an extension is necessary. Extensions depend on availability and are not guaranteed.

Article 3: Rental Fees

Rental fees are the total of the basic rental fee, shipment fee, and any other stated fee. The quotation will clearly show the amount and basis of calculation for each.

Article 4: Deposit

A deposit of 30 USD per bottle is included in the quotation. It is fully refunded after return when the Bear Spray has not been activated or unsealed and is not damaged or lost.

Article 5: Payment

1. Payment must be completed no later than three days before the rental begins unless Japan Bear Spray Rental states another deadline.
2. Payment may be made by credit card, debit card, or another electronic method offered by Japan Bear Spray Rental.

Article 6: Disclaimer and Restricted Areas

1. To the extent permitted by law, Japan Bear Spray Rental is not liable for personal injury or property damage incurred by the renter during use.
2. The renter must not carry or use Bear Spray where hazardous-material restrictions apply, including aircraft and restricted transport, public gatherings or events, and any location where possession or use could endanger people or property. Bear spray is strictly prohibited on aircraft in carry-on baggage, checked baggage, and cargo.
3. If the renter encounters a bear or aggressive animal, the renter must make every reasonable effort, at their own responsibility, to avoid an attack by all available means, not only Bear Spray. Japan Bear Spray Rental does not guarantee that Bear Spray will prevent injury, death, or property loss.

Article 7: Compensation for Damage

If the Bear Spray or supplied equipment is lost or damaged due to the renter’s negligence, or ownership rights are violated, the renter must compensate Japan Bear Spray Rental for resulting losses, including replacement or repair costs.

Article 8: Cancellation Policy

Cancellation charges for the reserved Bear Spray and shipment are: no-show 100%; rental start date 100%; one day before 100%; two days before 100%; three days before 100%; four or more days before 0%.

Article 9: Privacy

Personal information is handled according to our Privacy Policy.
